Alright, now's the time to put on your old Beatles CDs, kiddies, Cassie is updating today. And there was much rejoicing.
Well, as for news, I've found out that mom really is a forty year old Faye Valentine. I know I've said it in passing, but now I know it's true.
"I'm going to the gambling boat today. If anyone calls, tell them I went to the mall or something," she tells me five minutes after my father leaves on a business trip.
"Why can't anyone know?"
"Well," my Mom replies. "Its really just Grandma and my boss that can't. A while back I had a real gambling problem. I was losing a lot of money, and I even needed to borrow some from my boss. I finally decided to call Bets Off and make it illegal for me to gamble. Both Grandma and my Boss no about it, so if they knew that I was still gambling, they'd be pissed."
"You are such a Faye," I grumble.
"Pardon?"
"A Faye Valentine. She's a girl from Cowboy Bebop who smokes, drink, and drinks."
"Well, that's me in a nutshell, but I'm not a slut."
"Niether is Faye, really. She just dresses like one."
"Oh yes, I am a Faye," she annuonces proudly, and I fell like I have made my anime-real life connection for the day. Who ever said that anime can't apply to real life? I'll make it, damn you!
Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for my Dad to get off his ass and help me order my box set. But sadly, he's been out of town for so long. And then I also have my eyes on some imported manga. I've read the translations of Hot Gimmick, and I'm in love. I must own it! Even if I can't read it!
Gabby and I went shopping Friday, which was, to put it simply, interesting. We have too much fun, don't we darling?
I'm so tired. I just thought you should know that too. But you know, it's that kind of tired that is energy draining, but you can't fall sleep either, so you just sort of stay on the couch like a giant slug.
