I was watching Survivor last night. Yeah, I know. Lame. Yes, I agree. But I was bored.
So I suppose you also know that the women beat the men, with the twenty one year old supermodel winning the title of Survivor. As a girl, I suspose I ought to be cheering.
Why do I want to wring her neck?
Well, I'll explain.
First of all, the girl did absolutely nothing to help the tribe. She got by purely on winning immunity and by her good looks. Her shallowness was evident in her remarks about what a handicap it is to be beautiful.
I'm sorry, but I'm not going to support women if all the do is bitch and moan about life is so damn difficult when you're pretty. It was beauty that got her to the top, not brains or heart. I'm sure life must be much harder for the beautiful people than it is for the deaf girl.
I'm sorry, but I really have to give props to the deaf girl. It takes guts to compete when you're at a disadvantage and a whole lot of bravery to take a step out of the box like that.
I'm not saying that being beautiful is a crime. I guess if you have it, use it. All women do it at least once in their lives. It's called manipulation, it's an art. But don't try to make yourself into a martyr or a saint about it.
I would just like to see a woman use something besides sexual prowess to get her to the top. Or at least if they are going to use it, than can admit it.
Like, so I act like a slut. It worked, didn't it?
You know what else pisses me off? People who bleach their hair and then fake tan. Blondes aren't supposed to be that dark. It's disgusting. Maybe I'm reading to much manga, but everytime I see a blonde fake baker, I automatically think, "Oh, she is such a ko-gal."
I need to go watch some Trigun. You the world needs some love and peace! W007!
