July 12, 2003 - 4:23 p.m. I'm baack! got home from NYC a day early, mostly because the weather sucked, and my parents couldn't think of anything to do. But that's alright, and let me explain why. 1. I saw 42nd Street on Broadway. 2. I got 16 volumes of untranslated manga. Yes, that's right. I actually got my parents to let me go to the manga store, Kinokuniya. I asked, I gave them information, and surprisingly, I didn't have to beg. For a while I thought it was too good to be true. For a while I thought that dinner was going to take too long, that I wouldn't be able to make it to the store before it closed. But we took a taxi and made it there on time. The store was huge, like a Japanese Borders. I had no clue where to go, so I asked one of the guys that worked there. I asked him to find the manga Hana Kimi, and then he just sort of looked at me like I was crazy. And then I remembered that it has a long name, which I could niether pronounce nor remember. So I gave him the tranlated title. He still couldn't find it, but I did. I showed him it, and he says, "Ah, [insert the long ass name in here]." And I'm like, "Yeah, that's the one." So here's what I got. Volumes 1-6 of Hot Gimmick Volumes 2-6 of Hana Kimi Volumes 1-2 of Angel Sanctuary Volumes 1,3 and 4 of D.N. Angel Volumes 1 of Hana Kimi and 2 of DNAngel were sold out. All in all I spent a grand total of 99.28. And I am not ashamed. Now I just have to find translations for some of these. If anyone knows where to get them, please help. Looking over the mangas, I'd have to say that I was surprised by how perverted Hot Gimmick is. But definately not appalled by it. And Hana Kimi...wow! Umeda-sensei is so hot. It's really too bad that he's gay. I have also become obsessed with the song "99 Red Balloons" even though I've heard it dozens of time. I just like the German part. Or the full German version.
